BLYTHE, Calif. - Greetings fellow readers! Our pvvt.com comments section, and all relative Western News&Info Inc. online publications (Palo Verde Valley Times) will be implementing a change to our overall article comments system very soon.

In addition to that, we will be implementing some other slight design modifications and adding some new social media sharing tools, so please pardon our virtual dust. WNI and Palo Verde Valley Times has put a LOT of time, thought and effort into these changes, and we hope you will grow to love them as we do.

In short, we are rolling out Facebook comments over the next few months. Afterwards, the current comment system we're currently using will be disabled. We apologize for any inconvenience.

What does it mean for you?

First, it will mean registration if you aren't already registered with Facebook. This decision allows us to better track and moderate comments using Facebook's social media tools.

If you aren't registered with Facebook, the link to create a new account is here: www.facebook.com

We know some of you folks prefer keeping the current anonymous comment system, but unfortunately, this decision has been in the works for quite some time. Thus, very soon a Facebook account will be required in order to continue contributing to pvvt.com's diverse cross-section of viewpoints through our comments section. Our current comment system will be phased out shortly thereafter.

We want you to keep the conversations going, and Facebook allows us to more efficiently do this. We feel it is crucial for our readers to keep contributing input so we can continue delivering the best local community news possible.

It is an ever ongoing process to create, maintain and try to make our online sites as functional, interactive, up-to-date & beautiful as possible just for YOU, our loyal readers. We do this free-of-charge, on a daily-basis and do our best to duplicate our print publication on this digital platform. More importantly, we do it for the love of our community.

No problem using a name, but hate F(deleted)book. Guess I'll be staying with the old saying: "Pretty is, as pretty does".
