BLYTHE, Calif. - Blythe Police officers arrested Robert Jensen, 61, of Blythe, on suspicion of driving under the influence March 7.

Blythe Police Department received a call just before 7:30 a.m. Friday morning that someone was driving a vehicle in the 100 block of South Lovekin Blvd while under the influence. The caller gave the description of the vehicle as a tan "Jeep"-type of a vehicle. Officers stopped a Ford Escape matching the color description in the 100 block of North Main Street and the driver displayed symptoms of intoxication. After more investigation, officers took the driver, identified as Jensen, to Blythe Police Department. He was later released on his written promise to appear in court.

Jensen was elected to Palo Verde Unified School District Board of Trustees in 2011. He currently serves as the board clerk and works for Harmony Soup Kitchen as head cook.

It is obvious this man has a HUGE problem (deleted). I agree he is no role model for anyone much less juveniles in this town. I understand he gives his time to charity, but it makes me wonder if the time he gives is actually community service for his bad behavior? BOB, if you are reading this there is no shame in resigning your position on the school board and allowing the community to find someone with a little more clarity than someone in a (deleted). It takes a REAL MAN to know when to walk away and Mr. Jensen it is past tha time for you.

I have NEVER seen this much hate any where else but Blythe. I think this town has a curse, or the people who live here don't know how to involve in discussion. Or may be this is God's plan to put cursed and bad people in the middle of no where. Shame on Blythe.

We should hold our Hospital to the same standard that other Hospital's do.
The hospital should suspend the privileges of any Doctor arrested for a felony!

It is time this man resigns from the school board. I can give someone the benefit of the doubt if it the first time that something happens like this but it is not. Our school system has a zero tolerance policy for drugs and alcohol. The people in charge should be held to the same standards and this man obviously has a problem that he can not control. What kind of message and example is this man sending to our children if he stays a board member. Time to go Bob!
