You would have to actually sleep once in a while to lose sleep, just saying.

@....Amused Resident. Thank you for the spelling lesson. I used spell check, but I guess my computer is as dumb as me.

Just because, you know how to spell common sense it does not mean, that you know the meaning of the word.

You say that she chooses to to live the way she does. When people have mental illness they sometimes make the wrong choices. That's the differences between a stupid choice and a choice one makes when they have no gasp on reality.

Things would have been different if they had done this in the summer. Her life would not be in danger of dying from hypothermia. In the summer if she makes a mistake she can learn from it, without dying on the first nigh out in the cold.

Now, I bet if she was receiving SSI disability benefits there would be more that enough family to take care of her. A normal person acting crazy would have applied for SSI a long time ago. She has not.

It's OK. Make fun of me, laugh at me, be entertain by me. But guess what? I will not lose any sleep from that.

El Pica Buyas, you are so entertaining. And by the way, "common sense" is two words.

Poor her, they cleaned up an eye sore and put her out... Really? She has a family that would have helped her long ago, but she chooses to be the way she is. (deleted) If a normal person (deleted) you'd bash them, but because she has "problems" that's ok for her to do? (deleted) I'm glad they got rid of all that trash.

Oh, and El Pica Buyas, if you ever have a life threatening emergency, don't dial 911, because you'll get Blythe Police Department )

Everyone calm down. There's a whole lot more to this story that has not been written. And no they did not trespass this property. But either way. Thank you to those who took time out of their day to help clean up this mess. It's greatly appreciated.

(You are absolutely 100% correct!) Volunteers? Really? Is that what they are called? Did the volunteers under the, "Banner of Benevolence" have permission to go on that residential private property and remove that personal property at that time? (If not, I do not know if the word volunteer is 100% accurate although it may be.) What is the status of the property? Did the C.O.B. or Riverside County notice the vested owner(s) of a possible blight concern? And which Blythe, "Good Samaritan" step'd up in the spirit of uprightness and morality and made the decision to assemble a working party to uproot and displace this homeless lady going into the Christmas Holiday Season as well as at the beginning of what is expected to be a long hard cold winter? Are these volunteers roaming the streets of Blythe, removing personal property (on a case by case basis) from others private property because they deem it necessary or did they simply single this homeless lady out as a soft target in the name of volunteerism to do their "Good Deed" for the Holy Day Season? "Merry Christmas nameless/homeless lady from the Blythe Volunteers" was the dirge at the tail end of a cold snap. It is fair to say that an argument could be made that this is an example of a, "War on Women". I'm just say'n.....

Huston we have problem. Some people in Blythe have gone on stupid-mode. And commonsense has all gone South for the Winter.

It's not a Christmasy thing or a Christianity thing. But a commonsense thing. If you have a person that has mental issues you do not kick them out on the streets in winter.

Because her condition might prevent her from seeking help. It's winter, my ill-bread friends. There is a thing called hypothermia.

Why don't you big Christians take her into your own homes instead of feeling sorry for her because someone cleaned out her bedding... Remember the least of these ...

People go on Google Maps and take a trip around Blythe on the street view. Yes I know that some views are 5 years old on there.

This is what people see coming into Blythe along the main roads in Blythe. Look at the City Proper and see all of those empty buildings.

Do you even know think! You just respond to respond. Tell ya what, we'll just have them take all of her stuff (garbage) and have them dump it in your front yard and then she can squat on your property. That's ok....right. like you said she has rights & you won't mind. After all, your all for someone's rights.

Jacque,You must be kidding. If she is such a treasure to you and you feel so sorry, go get her and take her home. Its ironic, I was trying to get a group together to clean that nasty street up also. Thank you to whomever volunteered.

You people know that she has rights? If she has been living there for some time, she has Squatter's Rights. I bet that was not her trash it's from others that dumped it there.

I just wish that Mayor Evans would use that broom on the Police Department.

Are you for real! You actually need a garbage infested lot to help you "REMEMBER" to pray for someone. We all relize this women needs help. Real help. Not the kind where you just let her live in actual garbage. If your so concerned then try to get her some medical help but to leave this lot alone is not the answer. There are "young" kids who live in that neighborhood. Would you want your child wandering into that mess. Mr. Evans did the right thing & I hope he continues to address this matter full force. Good job to all those who were involved!

@ Jacque Vidaurri are you serious! Resident homeless. What about the residents that pay taxes and have to live next to this garbage. I think you should have her stay with you for the Holidays. Evans said he was going to take a broom to this town and all I got to say is its about time somebody did!
