BLYTHE - Russell Arlos Williams 45, of Blythe, was arrested on July 12 in Indio for possessing child pornography, sending masturbation videos to two minors, and having sexual chats with a third minor.

Williams was employed as a teacher at Ehrenberg Elementary School for the last 12 years.

In a felony complaint filed on July 18 in an Indio courtroom, Williams is accused of knowingly and unlawfully sending and distributing masturbation videos of three different minors on April 21. He is also being accused of engaging in a sexual chat with a third Jane Doe on the same day. On the day of his arrest, Riverside County District Attorney's SAFE (Sexual Assault Felony Enforcement) discovered eight separate videos of child pornography on personal home computer.

The Quartzsite Elementary School Governing Board, which also oversees Ehrenberg Elementary, terminated Williams on July 25 during an open meeting stating he "failed to immediately contact his supervisor to notify the district of his arrest."

None of the victims in the complaint are from the Blythe or Ehrenberg areas.

Williams was released on $55,000 bail and is scheduled to be back in court on Sept. 23 at the Larson Justice Center in Indio.

If anyone has any information on Williams, they are asked to contact Riverside County District Attorney's Office at 951-955-5400 or toll-free at 888-374-1235, SAFE Task Force Commander Jose Rodriguez at 760-863-8710, or Riverside County D.A. Investigator Eileen Casey at 951-955-0253. You may also contact Quartzsite District #4 Superintendent Jacque Price at 928-923-7900 or the La Paz County Sheriff's Offce at 928-669-9560.

Please, do not forget the victims. They will need a lot of support and counseling for years. These acts scare a child for life.

He came to work at the school about the time I retired from Ehrenberg. Many parents and employees didn't have good feelings about him.I remember one other situation while working at the school. It was a teacher using drugs and arrested for it. I always thought the board evaulated future employees better than this.

I hope that all school cameras are looked at as well. This guy was always taking pictures of our students. Supposedly it was for the school yearbook, but who knows now. This makes me so sick to think this guy was my childs teacher. But it makes me even more upset to hear now that complaints from other students to the school administration went unanswered.

As a concerned parent with children in Ehrenberg Elementary, first let me express my disgust that this man was around children. It sickens me to think he had a "yearbook" camera around his neck snapping pictures of the students for years. As for complaints by students to the administration, you need to up the ante. I know I would fight tooth and nail if I thought something bad happened to one of my children, and I wouldn't quiet down until I felt that justice was served. Please, if there are incidents of anything happening at the school, report it to the school board. How are we supposed to teach our children the difference between right and wrong if we try to cover up a scandal? Or tell them that we don't believe them? Let's bring a little pride and morality back to Ehrenberg Elementary.

And to think this creep lives next to Margaret White and the Mormon Church. (deleted) I hope people complain to the school board if they complained to the principle and nothing was done! That lady needs to go!! She's done nothing for the school but cause problems!! She's the reason all the good teacher left.

So being weird is something to get fired over if that is the case there would be alot of jobless people..How many parents actually went to the school office and talked to the Principal? If nothing was done why didn't the parent go to the school board and get something done?.Just cause one teacher screwed up does not mean all teachers are bad.

Ever since I met this teacher he always made me feel weird. My brother was supposed to have him as a teacher next year. He kept saying I dont want to go back to school. He finally told us that he didnt want this man as his teacher. He said that he was scarry to him. When my brother was told that he wouldnt be his teacher his whole mood changed and now he is all excite for school. This man will have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life and I hope he enjoys everything that he has coming his way because he deserves ever bit of it!!!! I am just suprised that they didnt catch this sooner!!

This was my childs teacher last year. I always thought ther was something weird about this guy. Not only should this guy be investigated (deleted). There are now rumors that students have complained to the principal about inapropriate behavior from this guy and nothing was done. (deleted)

The nerve of some people. My daughter had him as a teacher last year. The first time that I met him, he gave me the creeps. It makes me sick that a grown adult would do such sick things to children and have the nerve to of all things put himself around more innocent children and "teach" them. What punishment you are given will never heal the wounds and scars that you have given to all that you have hurt. May you feel the wrath.
