Blythe pair caught with stolen goods, admit to string of car thefts
Special to the Times

Blythe Police arrested a pair of locals on charges of theft and possession of stolen property after finding a vehicle belonging to one of the suspects loaded with stolen goods.

Christopher Lukesh, 23, and Nikki Gauthier, 25, were both booked at Blythe Jail.

Police responded to a call in the 200 block of Village Drive in reference to a report of two people looking into a parked vehicle in the area around 4 a.m. on April 11, 2013. The responding officers found and detained Lukesh and Gauthier in separate driveways after finding both looking into vehicles. A vehicle belonging to the two was parked nearby, and had a large amount of property, which the subjects admitted they had stolen from several unlocked vehicles in the Oasis Village area as well as in the Chanslor Place and Hidden Beaches areas.

At least 10 different victims have been identified and the majority of the property, which included golf clubs, law enforcement equipment, electronics, wallets and youth sports equipment, has been identified by the owners. The value of the property recovered is estimated to be over $6,500 dollars.

Blythe Police noted that the thefts in this case were from unlocked vehicles and remind the members of the community to secure their vehicles when they leave them. Police Chief Steve Smith added "a big 'thank you' to the citizen who saw the pair and took the time to call."

Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to contact the Blythe Police Department at 922-6111 or anonymously by calling Crime Stop at 921-CARE (2273) or by email at blythepd@cityofblythe.ca.gov.

To Nikkis Mom. Please know all those "(deleted)" added in by the editor of this paper were not direct comments about your daughter, or even Chris. We're guessing he deleted so much of it(almost to the point it makes no sense) because they made reference to things they were not charged with. We figured he could have just deleted the whole first half of our comment for that matter. It's the, "So as parents..." part that's important. We serve an awesome God!

Instead of bashing PVH, PVVT, the City Counsel, Doctors(fill in the blank), why isn't your attention on the REAL problem in Blythe? (deleted) Those on the bottom step of the ladder are the same ones you see in the paper All.The.Time.(deleted) Disgusting. And yes, we do call when we see these things. We'll know it's being taken serious when we start seeing the pictures of all the (deleted) on the front page, not just the (deleted) and their crimes. And please, for someone who wants to write,"but they need their snitches". Blythe is WAY to small to even THINK they need snitches. So as parents who KNOW what the power of prayer does, it's our prayer these 2 see this event for what it is. Chris & Nikki, we have no idea who you are, but we do know you have a very powerful prayer group in this town taking all of this to the Lord. Now it's up to you to allow the Lord to do what He does best, save and change lives. Make this the first and last time(as far as we know) your picture is on the front page of this paper for ANYthing giving kudos to the scum of this town. P.S. to the "law enforcement" who had their equipment stolen, hopefully YOU learned your lesson too.

@ The Person going as The new Fake Pica Buyas. Question do you hate me? Or do Admire Me? Get your own Moniker. Because you are no better than these two kids on the paper. Why? because you too are stealing. What? My moniker that's what. It's not worth much, but it's my dark personality, that's all.
