A special meeting of the Blythe City Council has been called for 9 a.m. Monday at Blythe City Hall to discuss the council's labor negotiations with City Manager Dave Lane. The closed session meeting will also address pending litigation. According to City Clerk Mallory Sutterfield, the meeting Monday may require a follow-up meeting on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m.

Lane, who is paid $174,982 per year plus benefits, last had his contract extended in August 2009.

That would not be so bad if the outcome was for the Public Good not theirs!

I have an idea. Dave Lane can go to hospital and become the CEO, as soon as the other one shortly leaves. The twins, Joey, Lane and past city officials all party together at Hudsons'' house. They can go celabrate at the Elks, have steak dinner paid by MEC and fixed GH.

Please tell me the Big 3 will not be involved in this meeting, as Lane, DeConick and Smith still hold their liaison lunches at the college. They have even moved their "meetings" into a vacant classroom. Who was the man these three were meeting last week in their "lunch" at PVC????

What will the city council DO on Monday morning? Will they "buy" another David Lane lottery ticket, or will they play "another" game of chance?

Can anyone (Please) write down what this man has accomplish for this town? Not the bad things that everyone here complains about. You know, something that would negate the idea of putting him back on the turnip wagon and waving good bye to him.

Why don't we just get $175,000.00 and light it on fire? The results are the same, we'll still be getting nothing for our money?
