PALO VERDE, Calif. - With Father's Day just around the corner (June 21), the Palo Verde Improvement organization will sponsor a Father's Day barbecue dinner at 4 p.m. The menu consists of country-fried chicken, mashed potatoes, salad, garlic toast and dessert. Fathers eat free.

PALO VERDE, Calif. - Mothers' special day is May 10 and Palo Verde Improvement Association (PVIA) will honor mothers by hosting a breakfast at the PVIA Clubhouse beginning at 8 a.m. the day before on May 9. Hot biscuits and gravy, ham and eggs, lots of hot coffee, and juices will be served.
