Special to the Times

BLYTHE - Jackie Copeland is the newest ASE Master Certified Automotive Technician at Mead Automotive & RV Repair.

He recently successfully completed eight competency tests administered by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence.

Copeland started his career many years ago as a trained and certified aircraft mechanic as well as a trained and certified aircraft pilot. He started as an automotive technician at Mead Automotive & RV Repair in May of 2010. His success in the automotive field is partly due to the diligence required to be an aviation mechanic.

"The meticulous attention to detail is a tremendous bonus for our customers as well as our business reputation," said owner Lorie Mead. As in the aviation field, doing things right the first time is critical, and Copeland's commitment to doing the job right the first time is appreciated by Mead's customer.

"We want to thank Jackie for his hard work and dependability, we could not have asked for a better employee," said Mead. "He also sets a great example of a Master for our other technicians."

In addition to owner Hamp Mead's three ASE Masters and ASE Advanced Certifications in electronic diesel and engine performance, Mead Automotive & RV Repair, which has been in business since 2006, is now home to two ASE Certified Automotive Masters and one ASE Certified Service Consultant.

"We look forward to all of our employees becoming the best they can be and be able to show their ASE credentials as well," said Hamp Mead.
