EHRENBERG, Ariz. - The Arizona Department of Transportation began a project to improve the circulation of traffic at the Interstate 10 Ehrenberg traffic interchange (Exit 1) Monday.
The project consists of building a new roundabout on the south side of I-10, as well as building a new left-turn lane to the nearby travel center. Pavement improvements on the south frontage road, and a segment of Poston Road, are also included in the project.
Work is scheduled to take place weekdays from 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. Additional night time work is planned along the frontage road, updates will be provided. No work is scheduled for holidays. Law enforcement will be in place to monitor traffic. Message boards will be in place to inform motorists of road restrictions.
The project is scheduled to be completed in fall of 2014.
