QUARTZSITE TIMES

QUARTZSITE, Ariz. - The 19th annual Celia's Rainbow Gardens Party in the Park scheduled for March 16 starts at noon at Town Park pavilion in Quartzite. A free lunch of burgers, hot dogs, salads, desserts and drinks will be served.

Entertainment provided by Barefoot and Boots Band, who puts on a great show, in addition to Paul Winer who will also be there with his piano, accompanied by Ralph Martin on one string washtub bass, and Buddy Apfel with his trombone and tuba, with a Jerry Mullins sit in.

Bring a chair and hat in case it is hot, and lots of water, and be ready to dance and enjoy the event.

Drawings with prizes will be ongoing throughout the day. All proceeds go towards the maintenance and upkeep at Celia's Rainbow Gardens, which is mainly done by volunteers and donations.

This party started out as a way to thank all the volunteers for their help and support for Celia's Rainbow Gardens, and just kept growing to include everyone who loves the Gardens and is a way to show our appreciation for their support.

There is still so much work to be done there, and some newer blood is needed. Many of the original volunteers either passed away or moved away, or are unable do the work anymore. The Gardens could use an infusion of younger more able people to help, so if interested and able to give the Gardens a few hours or lots of time, it would really be appreciated. Call 928-927-6551 or drop into Oasis Reader's bookstore and let them know.
