QUARTZSITE, Ariz. - The Mountain Quail RV Park in Quartzsite presents "Southwestern Roundup" Art Gallery Show Feb. 28-March 1. This annual show, formerly known as Mardi Gras Art Show, changed hands and was renamed Mountain Quail Art Gallery Show.

The Quartzsite Art Guild members have been showing their artwork for many years in Quartzsite, and these very talented artists will again set up in the recreation hall at the RV park, 490 Moon Mountain Rd, in Quartzsite.

Local artists as well as snowbird artists will display and sell many original paintings, cards and prints. Also, several authors from Reader's Oasis Books Author's Fair plan to set up outside the building to show their new books. As an added bonus, for a donation of a non-perishable food item to the Quartzsite Food Bank will receive a free raffle or door prize ticket. This is the last art show of the season, and some of the most original, hand-painted pictures of all kinds and some never-before-seen items as well will be on display. Many local businesses donated items for the raffle, so be sure to buy some tickets for a chance to win.

Everyone is invited to come and see these very talented artists' works, and get those special gifts for yourself or as a gift to someone you care about. The show will be open both days from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Prizes will be awarded at 2 p.m. on March 1. After the art show, or whenever there is time, the Mountain Quail Café also has a nice-sized art gallery inside the restaurant, where many of the local artists' works are on display and for sale. Shop while dining on great food. Be sure to mark calendars for the Southwestern Roundup and come meet the artists and the authors who will be there and have lots of fun.
