Joe Wine Blythe Rec Flag Football A/B Division action - Week 3

BLYTHE - The Joe Wine Blythe Recreation Center Flag Football presents results through week 3 of play at Miller Park.

A Division

The A Division kicked off its third week of play with a Tuesday game against the Cowboys and the Bears. Andres Whitson caught a seven-yard pass for a touchdown in the second period with Gabriel Ayala tacking on the extra point. Ayala scored on a 25-yard touchdown run while Fransisco Anaya caught a pass From Zachary Reynolds for the extra point. The Bears defense forced two safeties in the contest. The Bears win 20-0.

The A Division action picked back up Oct. 26 with a battle between the Rams and the Bears. Anthony Gonzales started the Rams scoring off with a 45-yard catch for a touchdown. Evan Castillo found his way into the end zone on a five-yard run for a touchdown. The Bears running back Zachary Reynolds scored on a remarkable 70 yard run for a touchdown. Anthony Gonzales finished the game with a 70-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. The Rams win 22-8.

B Division

The B Division kicked off its week with a matchup between the first place powerhouse Jets and the 2nd place Seahawks. Brian Johnson started the Jets scoring off with a 24-yard run for a touchdown while Martin Ramos caught the extra point conversion. Tommy Johnson added to his incredible season with a 10-yard run for a touchdown to end the first half of play. D'Angelo Medrano had solid defensive efforts, taking an interception back for a 20-yard touchdown while Tommy Johnson ran in the extra point conversion. Kade White caught a 40-yard pass for a touchdown in the third quarter with Jayden Smith tacking on the extra point conversion. Tommy Johnson ran in yet another touchdown, this time from five yards out with Brian Johnson adding the extra point effort. Brian Johnson finished the Jets' scoring with a seven-yard run for a touchdown. The Jets won, 43-0.

The Chiefs faced off with the Chargers for their third week of play. Devin Ramirez started the chiefs scoring off with a five-yard catch for a touchdown. Daniel Juarez scored with a two-yard run for a touchdown. Michael Sanchez caught a five-yard touchdown in the quarter.

The Chargers Tyson Cross ran back a 40-yard kick off for a touchdown to bring his team back into the game. Daniel Juarez kept his momentum scoring yet again, this time from 15 yards on the ground to start the second quarter.

Devin Ramirez scored on an 18-yard run to finish the third period. Michael Sanchez found his way into the end zone with an eight-yard run for a touchdown. Joseph Smith finished the game with a 30-yard touchdown catch. Chiefs win 42-6.

The last B-Division game was a matchup between The Lions and The Raiders. The Lions' quarterback Chase Schriner threw a seven-yard pass to Ray Garcia for a touchdown with Anthony Flores catching the extra point.

Drake Whiting scored on a two-yard run for a Lions touchdown to start the second quarter with Ray Garcia catching the extra point. Chase Schriner ran for a three-yard touchdown to finish the second quarter.

The Raiders Isaiah Green scored on a 21-yard run for a touchdown in the third quarter. Schriner threw yet another touchdown, this time to Frankie Soto for a four-yard score.

Drake Whiting finished the game with a 71-yard run for a touchdown. The Lions win 34-6.
