Harry Roy Gregory

Harry Roy Gregory went to be with the Lord April 27, 2014 at the age of 76. He was born on March 20, 1938 in Elkins, West Virginia to Esker and Thelma Gregory.

Harry and Shirley married July 20, 1962 in Long Beach, California. They relocated to Blythe, California in 1922.

After serving in the military he was a self-taught machinist, general contractor and owned his own business. He was a proud veteran of the Air Force, an active member of the VFW, and a local businessman.

Harry enjoyed many outdoor activities and loved spending time with his wife, children, grand children, and his many friends.

Harry is survived by his wife Shirley; children, Cheryl Salgado (Mike), Deedee, Patty and James Gregory; grandchildren, Melissa and Sandra Flores, Dylan and Amanda Salgado; siblings, Jim Gregory (Karen), Delmas and Dale Kisner, Betty Vanscoy and Nellie Sears; local nephews, Jim, Randy, Steve, Mike and Gary Gregory; along with other unofficially adopted children. Harry was preceded in death by siblings Willis Gregory and Rita Shydir.

A "Celebration of Life" for Harry will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Blythe Cancer Resource Center, 604 E. Hobsonway, Blythe, CA 92225 or the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belford Road, Jacksonville, PA 32256.

Heart felt condolences to the Gregorys. Harry was a great person. The world will be a lesser place with his passing. He will be deeply missed by many.

I remember Harry as being a hard working, hard-nosed, funny man. He was at his best in the early 2000's when team with his buddy Gary.
