Manuel I. Sanchez entered Eternal Life on June 29, 2013 in Palm Desert, Calif. Manuel was born Nov. 19, 1943, to Liborio and Cleofas Sanchez. In 1965 he married Senorina Sanchez and started their family of six children.

Manuel was a great mechanic and had a love for tractors that lead him to John Deere, where he worked for many years. Manuel was a big man with a big heart. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting. He valued and taught strong family ties. He will be greatly missed. To put it in Manuel's own words, "Yeah Yeah Yeah"

He is survived by his children, Robert Sanchez, Isabel Verduzco (Robert), Susana Cavazos (Herierto), Natalia Sanchez, Maria De Lourdes Sonner (Earl II) and Candelaria Sanchez (Wesley Van Hook). 10 grandchildren: Andre and Amaris Verduzco, Ashley, Heriberto II, Jacob Cavazos, Wesley G. Vanhook II, Christian Joseph Van Hook, Mitchell Conner Van Hook, Earl (Tiger) Sonner III and Nicolas Sonner.

He is also survived by five sisters and one brother. Lupe Velasco (Salvador), Raquel Duenaz (Carlos), Mariana Crane, Ruth Leivas, Atanasia Douglas and Emilio Sanchez (Irma). Numerous nieces and nephews.

Manuel was preceded in death by his parents, Liborio and Cleofas Sanchez, Ruperto Jose, Ruperto Rosario, Alberto, Senovio, and sister Atangracia.

Viewing will be July 8, from 4 to 8 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m. at Frye Chapel. Mass will be July 9, at 9 a.m. at St Joan of Arc Catholic church. A Reception will be held at 12 noon at the VFW.

Robert, Isabel and Susana, you have my condolences. Your Father was and still is a good man. He always took the time to set us straight when we veered off the right path. You should be very proud.
