|Nancy Jean Rawlins|
Nancy Jean Rawlins, 57, passed away peacefully in her home July 10, 2014 after a courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma. She was born in Ripley on June 18, 1957 to Bill and Guin Rawlins.
The second of six children, Nancy and her family moved from Midland, CA to Blythe when she was nine years old. She attended local schools and graduated from Palo Verde High School in 1975. After Nancy graduated she began working at the local Best Western as the front desk manager for over 30 years. During her time there, she made many life long friends and touched many hearts.
When Nancy wasn't working, she spent her time with her niece Brittney. They enjoyed going on road trips and trying new things together. Nancy was a ray of sunshine to everyone she met. If someone was having a hard time they could always turn to her and she knew exactly what to say. Nancy loved children. She loved her nieces and nephews as if they were her own. She will be missed greatly by all those who knew her.
Nancy leaves behind her niece Brittany; sisters Sharon Barto and Cathy Trathen (David); brothers Jim and Donald (Brenda); nieces Jamie, Vanessa, and Ashley; nephews Jake, Daniel, and Jason; great nieces Guadalupe, Hailey, and Arianna; great nephews Jason Jr., Hayden, David, Damien and Dominik; the members of the Deere family; honorary nephew Charles Hicks; co-workers Modi, Peyton, Patricia, Noemi, April, Rosie, Skye, Stella, Fina and all of her maids; and her fur friend Duke.
Nancy joins her mother Guin, father Bill, brother Charles, and brother-in-law Don Barto in heaven.
Private family service will be held for Nancy. We ask if anyone would like to attend to contact Brittany at email@example.com for information. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Blythe Cancer Research Center in honor of Nancy.
