Manu Bhakta, a blessed woman, passed away the morning of Jan. 28, 2014 in Blythe at the age of 65. She was born April 17, 1948 in India, the middle child of two siblings of Mr. and Mrs. Patel.
Manu completed her education in India and was married in 1973. Manu became the beloved wife of Thakor Bhakta for 41 years and mother of Denny and Jimmy Bhakta.
Manu and Thakor moved to the United States in 1985 and to Blythe in 1988 with a vision to operate a family business and to raise their children. Both of her sons began their schooling at Ruth Brown Elementary and graduated from Palo Verde High School. Manu was proud to send her boys to San Diego to obtain college degrees.
Manu was devoted to her family and friends for 65 years on earth. Her contagious laugh, and lifelong sacrifice brought joy to many souls.
Manu will be missed by her husband, sons, mother, siblings, extended family, and friends. Although her physical body has passed away, her spirit will continue to live for eternity.
We thank God for blessing us with a righteous woman in Manu Bhakta.
