OBITUARY: Lorenzo Vigil, Sr.

Lorenzo Vigil, Sr., 74, passed away on Jan. 3, 2013 in Blythe.

He was a resident of the Palo Verde Valley for close to 50 years and retired from the Palo Verde Irrigation District after 30 years.

The time has come to be with my loving wife.

He is survived by his children, Lorenzo Vigil Jr. (Trina) and Lorenza Angle (Dale); grandchildren, Rosemary Angle (Michael), Christopher Angle (Ayanna), David Vigil, Lauren Vigil and Diego Vigil; great-grandchildren, Dahymien Angle, Ky Angle, Lola Angle, Christina Vigil, and Micha Angle; sisters, Olivia Maestas; Ernestina Vialpando, Delores Garcia (Willie), Shirley Vigil, and Kate Espinosa (Robert); brother, Manuel Vigil (Paula); sister-in-laws, Alice Vigil, Cordy Vigil, and Willma Lovato (Phillip); brother-in-law, Gilbert Gonzales (Virginia); and many loved nieces, nephews, god-children and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife Edna Vigil; sister, Emma Espinosa; brother, Wilbert Vigil; parents, Jose Demosthenes and Arnita Vigil; father in laws, Diego Gonzales and Jesus Vigil.

Visitation will be held on Jan. 13, 2013 from 4-8 p.m. with Rosary beginning at 5 p.m. at Frye Chapel. Funeral and interment will be Jan. 14, 2013 at 10 a.m. also at Frye Chapel and will proceed to Palo Verde Cemetery.

I worked with Lorenzo at PVID for many years and have always looked up, admired and respected him, I never knew Lorenzo to udder a harsh word to or about anyone.

Lorenzo had all the qualities all men should aspire to obtain.
