Brother and sister Grimm earn honors

Jane and Gary Grimm of Blythe are the proud parents of Anna Cathleen and Andrew Durant.

Anna graduated from UCLA in June, 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the UCLA College of Letters and Science, Department of Economics.

She graduated from Palo Verde High School in 2006 as Co-Valedictorian. For the past two years she has worked as a case manager for a computer software company which specializes in assisting large corporations with their employees' medical insurance needs.

Andrew received his commission as an Ensign in the United States Navy on Oct. 19, 2012. Andrew reported to the Naval Officer Training Command, Newport, R.I., on July 29, 2012, where he underwent intense training with 70 other officer candidates.

Ensign Grimm, a Surface Warfare Officer, received orders to serve aboard the U.S.S. Patriot, Avenger Class, in Sasebo, Japan.

Andrew graduated from Palo Verde High School in 2003, attended Grossmont Community College for two years, then graduated from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colo. in May, 2009, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology.
