Fixing up Todd Park

Marty Bachman

BLYTHE - Mayor Oscar Galvan and councilman Mike Evans were joined by Richard "Blade" Phipps and members of the Victory Outreach Church in tearing down the fence covers at Alexander Field so that there would be a clear view of the freshly painted skate park from Main Street in order to deter graffiti. From left to right, Rafa Coronado, Evans, Phipps, Galvan, Olee Johns and Michael Alejandre. Lunch was provided for the group by Vice-mayor Sam Patel.

@ I'm just saying. I'm still waiting for your answer on the insurance on the bouncers in the park. Simply if you, or anybody do not want to hear, or read anything I say, or write. Then do not read, or listen to not one thing I say, or write. Now is that so hard?

Funny thing about you sheep, that only your criticisms of others is the only valid thing allowed here in Blythe.

Did I attack these people? If I had there would have been a long thing saying, why it was not printed I have made an observation on the subjects, and made my opinion known.

look at what the Chief said about the City Council, he attacked their credibility. What, nobody said nothing. Why is he right about them? Oh yes he retracted that statement, and only named one council member. But it's the one you do not like.

@El Pica don't get me started on you! I have shut you up in the past. Don't make me do it again. Not everybody wants to hear your comments. IF you can't say anything nice so times don't say anything at all.

You people are funny. No matter what I say or do, not one thing will change the politics of Blythe. I may point things as I see them, But still nothing will happen. The only way things will change is you people open your eyes.

Am I the cause of this town going down hill. Am I in charge of the budget of the city. Or do I put in place what price these stores charge for their goods. Did I hire the city manager or the chief of police. Did I waste about a Million dollars, on a useless project to bring a well-Center to Blythe, that will be used to let the dogs use as restroom. So who is in charge of the fiasco of the hospital. Is it me.

There are many more problems here, than me. Than on what I write about. It's OK just close your eyes, and blame me because of my negative comments.

@ El P Bad Attitude. So now you going to hate me for questioning everything? It's OK. But I will still continue to Question Everything.

This is the problem with some you sheep. They put a Shiny Object in front of you, and you forget everything. Just like pulling the wool over your eyes. Hey I made a funny.

So do yourself a favor, and start asking questions. Do not accept lames answers. So out of all the Cities along the Colorado River, why is it that Blythe is the only city going down hill.

So what is the problem, or who is the problem?
OK! I confess it's me with my bad attitude. Happy Now?

Why don't you move? I'm sure there's a perfect city just waiting for you to be their mayor, their politician or enforcer. Sell/pawn/give away your belongings and go to happy town where everything is ran your way.

Article comment by: @El Pica a bad attitude only shows the kinda person you are

Mr. El Pica I've been tight lip on your comments for a while now. But, with your attitude on everything that goes on in Blythe its like 'Get a life'!!! At least these men are
out making a difference in how Blythe looks. While other City Leaders are walking around shaking hands these fine men are using there hands to make a difference. Remember Mr. Pica a bad attitude only shows the real person you are, and it doesn't look good. Thank you again gentleman for making a difference! Keep the rats and negative attitudes where they belong in the gutter.

That park has a lot of great memories for me from before we even had a stoplight in town. Before the bowling alley, when The Hub & Drive-In were at their best! Pure American Graffiti!

@press secretary. These are my thoughts, and I'm just expressing them in writing. That I hope I'm wrong about these people.

So if I'm the cancer, then you must be the cure. So whats next? Saying mama jokes at each other? If you have something to say it. But don't fake humility.

It's the law of the land, if you make the first strike make sure you put him down. You should not cry when they strike back.

Galvan has spent many hours keeping that park as clean and safe for the kid's as he possible could long before he was mayor..His wife and other family members and friends worked right along with him...He is far from being a virgin to this this type of clean up...Good man he is

@ Blythe Sports and El Pica. Can't you just say something positive and leave it at that. If they were cleaning-up Hobsonway you would complain that they should be cleaning-up the parks. Maybe time will tell if this is just a start...but it is that, A START! If just 10% of our community would get involved Blythe would be a better place. You are the Cancer that erodes at this town. Go ahead and blog something negative towards me, we all know you will, its your right.
