A LOT of information. Just noticing the amount of money Blythe pays to electric bills a year. Wells and pumping 176,200 a year. Sanitation (lift stations) 56,015 a year. Sanitation waste water treatment plant 91,500 a year. A total of 323,715 a year just for electricity. Edison has just been allowed to increase electric rates and is already in the process of asking the CPUC for another rate increase. Capital projects streets, 1,245,000. Capital projects CNG Fueling facility 660,348. How much usage do the citizens get out of the CNG project as opposed to the Street improvement projects? Perhaps it's time to look into the California Solar Initiative and install a 17,000 Solar PV panel facility to offset or erase the bulk of the electric bill to run Blythe's Utilities.
