I live in Blythe. I was one of the Solar students at Palo Verde College.I work at Genesis. We hired every person from Blythe we could, that had the skills, and could pass a background check. We are required not to release water at any time and recycle 100% of the water used in the steam power plant. Very little is wasted. The mirror washing is done by automated machine and it uses as little water as possible. If there is anyone in Blythe with experience in welding, electrical , or power plant operations, we would probably be interested in hiring you. I think this is a wonderful place to work.It is a great technology. Try running all your power needs for the next 40 years without buying anything and only using the sun.

They tried to hire locals and even got quite a few out there but its to easy to live off the government, so why work when you can get a free check from the government every month. I'm just writing about what I can see around this town every day.

Washing the mirrors continuously? Huh? I thought we were trying to conserve water? What is going on here? This is a scam for Dept. of Energy subsidies. Why is this happening?
