Special to the Times
BLYTHE - Palo Verde Saddle Stompers 4-H Club is gearing up for the Colorado River Fair by hosting their third annual tri-tip dinner fundraiser on March 1 at the Colorado River Fairgrounds from 4:30-7:30 p.m.
The club members will use part of the proceeds from this dinner to help with their community service projects throughout the 4-H year.
So far this year, the club donated two backpacks full of school supplies to the Back-to-School Drive, pumpkin centerpieces for a fair fundraiser, $50 to the Palo Verde Valley Library's storytime project, $50 to the Harmony Kitchen's Christmas dinner, and $50 to brighten a hospice patient's family for Christmas.
The goal of PVSS is to do a different project each month and help out in the community in whatever small way possible. To help PVSS help out the community, presale tri-tip tickets are $10 each and are available from PVVS 4-H members, parents, or by calling Janice Crawford at 760-219-1767 or Cynthia Lloyd at 760-832-0614.
