SACRAMENTO - Assemblyman V. Manuel Pérez offers his congratulations to Mark Anderson and Nisha Noroian of Blythe upon their appointment Oct. 7 by the Governor to the 54th District Agricultural Association, Colorado River Fair Board.
According to information provided by the Governor's office, Mark Anderson, 46, of Blythe, has been a correctional corporal at the Riverside County Sheriff's Department since 1987. He also serves as a business administrator at the TGP Youth Instructional Center.
Nisha Noroian, 28, of Blythe, has been an assistant farm manager at Nish Noroian Farms since 2013, having also previously worked there from 2003-2009. Noroian worked as a research assistant for retired Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor from 2011-2012, and in 2010 she was a legal intern in the offices of U.S. Senators Michael Enzi and John McCain.
The positions do not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation.

It is enlightening to see local community members be recognized for their leadership and community endeavors.
