BLYTHE - Desert Learning Center (DLC) held a ribbon cutting and open house on Aug. 29 to celebrate opening their doors and the start of their school year on Sept. 3. Blythe Area Chamber of Commerce directors, community members, DLC board members, faculty, teachers, parents, and students attended the event. DLC is a not-for-profit K-8 private school located at Zion Lutheran Church. The school's mission is to bring students, parents, the school, and the community together and provide a challenging curriculum and provide the tools to become individual thinkers and future leaders. This school is a wonderful addition to Blythe. The staff are the best of the best. A big thank you to everyone who helped bring us this excellent option for our childrens education. I have never been this excited for the start of a school year. We need to make sure that this school is available for future generations.
