BLYTHE - Rehearsals for the 2014 Miss Blythe Pageant are under way and contestants are beginning to prepare paperwork, gather attire, and practice the numbers for the pageant.

The annual pageant is set to kickoff at 6 p.m. on Oct. 5 at the Palo Verde College Fine and Performing Arts Center. Reigning Miss California, Crystal Lee, and reigning Miss Blythe's Outstanding Teen, Kailey Lee, will be in attendance.

The new title holder will be crowned by reigning Miss Blythe and a state finalist at Miss California, Ariel Ramirez.

The seven contestants competing for the 2014 title include: Dallas Hurt, Emily Doyle, Bianca Saldivar, Bailey Lee, Cristina Bequer, Karys Downes, and Grace Quist.

Tickets are now available from each of the contestants and at the Blythe Area Chamber of Commerce office at their new location on Hobsonway in the Holt building.

Princesses are also being sought for the pageant. Eligible ages 3-13. Please contact the Blythe area Chamber of Commerce at 760-922-8166 for more information on the princess program.
