Enroll in summer classes at Palo Verde College

BLYTHE - Start your way or continue your path of higher learning this summer at Palo Verde College. Register for the summer session now through June 14.

Classes begin on June 10 and run through July 19. Over 50 courses are being offered in a traditional classroom setting, through correspondence (Distance Education), and online for any student's convenience. There are also credit and non-credit (free) courses that are available.

Credit courses offered this summer include subjects on addiction, microbiology, writing, arithmetic, algebra, business, computers, critical thinking, nursing, psychology, marketing, history, management, health, and geography.

Non-credit courses are provided in the traditional classroom (face-to-face) and include quilting and developmental English.

A variety of financial aid is available for the summer session and for students who meet a certain criteria. For more information on FAFSA visit www.fafsa.ed.gov or speak to a Financial Aid representative at the main campus.

Palo Verde Valley District Library, Palo Verde High School, Blythe Area Chamber of Commerce, and Palo Verde Valley Times have the complete Summer 2013 Schedule of courses. It is also available online at www.paloverde.edu.

Students new to Palo Verde College need to apply now through California Community College website www.cccapply.org to get started on their educational needs today. New students are also required to participate in assessment testing and orientation.

For more information about any of the courses being offered at Palo Verde College, financial aid, help with registration, or appointments for testing, visit Student Services located in the John Crain Building at the main campus, One College Drive, Blythe, Calif. or stop in at the Needles Center, 725 W. Broadway, Needles, Calif.

By phone, the main campus can be reached by calling 760-921-5500 or at Needles 760-326-5033. The website, www.paloverde.edu, is accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week (exception, scheduled maintenances).
