A tandem bike should be donated that way the arrestee can help pedal the officer back to the station. Or a seat can be placed on the handle bars for the bad guy.

For anyone out there wondering what happened to the previous bikes, isn't it obvious... I would just like to say thanks to the crain family and state farm for their contribution and the contributions they have made to this community for as long as i can remember. Only the readers of the pvvt could spoil a nice gesture.

Perhaps if this works out then the 2 bikes they already have will be made into a bicycle built for 2. The two LT's could fight crime together.

I would guess 3 out of 4 of those guys haven't been on a bike in decades. Does it come with training wheels?

I wonder what the lucky Officer will have done to be awarded with bike duty in the summer when it's 115 degrees out? Will they be wearing a helmet cam? (deleted)

Its says it was donated. Who cares who rides or what time of the year it is rode. And we probably have two Lieutenants because there are different aspects of the department to over see.

Mike Evans, you are soooooooo fortunate you do NOT work for the chief. You know what you're assignment would be. LOL My early condolences to the family of the poor offficer that gets this promotion, Is the chief totally clueless as to the chaotic driving just prior to and immediately following school? Please install a battle tested camera so we can at least catch the driver that doesn't see the bicyclist.

@ Be Thankful after all. Hey how did you know that I need training wheels. I also need them on my car. Traffic/School Resource Officer. Would that not be one of the riders? Thanks for the Happy Thanksgiving. I hope you had a good one also. Funny I'm not used to writing to a turkey, it's that I'm use to seeing it on the dinner table. lol
