BLYTHE, Calif. - Blythe Police Department reported Sunday night that Thomas Gordon Carroll, who was reported missing Aug. 15, returned home Aug. 16 in good health and spirits.
Officers received a call at approximately 1:30 p.m., on Friday, asking for a welfare check on Carroll who lives in the RV park at 500 Riviera Drive. Carroll had not been seen since Aug. 13.
Officers checked Carroll's home to no avail. The police began a search of the area and spoke with many neighbors and park employees. During this time, officers determined Carroll had last been seen riding away from his home on his red bicycle Wednesday and had not returned.
Blythe Police released a description of Carroll, asking for the public's help in locating him.
At that time, Lt. Jeff Wade released this statement, "At this point there are no indications of suspicious or criminal activity being involved in Mr. Carrolls' disappearance. But this is very uncharacteristic for Mr. Carroll and we are very concerned for his safety."
After confirming Carroll's reappearance, Blythe Police said that the details regarding Carroll's whereabouts during the previous two days were unknown, Carroll was safely at home.
"Thank you all for assisting us in disseminating Mr. Carroll's photo and information," said Wade.
