BLYTHE, Calif. - As of Monday, July 28, local business owner, David Kehl, is the only person who picked up a packet for the Palo Verde Health Care District Board of Trustees election scheduled for Nov. 4.

Incumbent F. "Ted" Arneson is the sole person to pull papers for one of three Riverside County seats open for the Palo Verde Community College District Board of Trustees seats.

Anyone interested in running for offices on the Nov. 4 general election ballot may take out candidate filing papers beginning this past Monday. Papers must be filed by 5 p.m., Aug. 8.

If an incumbent fails to file, the deadline for that office will be extended to 5 p.m. on Aug. 13, for everyone except the incumbent.

Locally, Palo Verde Community College District has three seats open. Incumbents, F. "Ted" Arneson, Lincoln Edmond, and George Thomas currently represent the Riverside County portion of the district while Jerry Lewis's (Needles, California) seat is on the ballot for San Bernardino county residents.
