BLYTHE - Ironwood State Prison (ISP) staff visited Blythe Nursing Care Center (BNCC) to spread holiday cheer Dec. 20.
Residents received gifts donated by ISP employees who wished all a "Merry Christmas" and "Happy New Year."
"With the assistance of ISP Acting Community Resource Manager, Carey Ochs, ISP staff has once again devoted their time and effort to ensure that every resident of BNCC has the best Christmas ever," said Lieutenant S. Gonzales, ISP public information officer. "This year's Christmas at BNCC was a success."
"Even in the toughest of economical times, our staff have gone above and beyond the call of duty to assist in helping the local community," said ISP Warden David B. Long. "Assisting our local community is very important to our mission here at ISP."
Several staff members accompanied Busby to BNCC and graciously worked as "elves," passing out over 100 gifts at the home.
