BLYTHE - This year's "PVHS Memories" Talent show presented by Palo Verde High School's (PVHS) Drama Club takes place Nov. 21 and 23 at 7 p.m., with a matinee performance Nov. 24 at 4 p.m. in the PVHS cafeteria.

During the three nights of competition, acts in each of the competition categories - vocal, band/musical group, variety, and a new category this year "vocal with accompaniment" will compete for over $1,000 in cash prizes. Plus, the highest ranked act in each category over the three-night period will receive overall winner honors.

"We have great bands and musical acts, dance acts, and excellent skits put on by individual students as well as entire classes," said Victor Green, director.

The Drama Club members do it all. The members produce the show and provide the technical and stage elements needed for the production. The students also sell tickets, pull the curtain, man the lights and soundboards, run the concession stands, clean up after the show, and generally fill in wherever needed.

P.J. Johnson and the CTE-ROP CIS Office program at Palo Verde High School printed the tickets and programs, as well as helping out in other areas.

The money raised from this year's talent show go towards Drama Club's spring production and to help fund the club's annual trip to see a professional performance.

Doors open at 6:45. Soft drinks and snacks will be available.

General admission at the door is $7, with a $1 rebate at the door for students with an ASB card. Advanced tickets are now on sale from Drama Club members or at the PVHS Office for $5.
