BLYTHE - In effort to earn his merit badge as part of Boy Scout Troop 429, Nick Cusick is removing illegal signs from utility poles.

Most of the illegal signs advertise yard sales and Cusick reminds residents that signs on utility poles are not allowed and contribute to the blight within the city, especially since so many are not removed following the advertised yard sale. Cusick recommends advertising yard sales through other media channels.

@...Sherry Covington. i just believe that it is fundamentally wrong to bring one's children or underage family members into the political arena.

It's just like the Mayors photo ops, that he did leading into the election. It leave these kids open to too many things. I'm not saying he should not be commended, it just leaves it open to too many interpretations, that's all. Maybe better judgment should have been used.

Lighten up El Pica Buyas.......it's nice to have some uplifting news in the paper, not just the kids who are tagging, drugging, etc...........no matter whose kid it is.....

What this young man did is commendable, I also hate it when people put thing on utility poles.

What I think is wrong that this would make the news? Is it because of his surName and a relationship to a council member?

If I'm wrong my deeply and sincere apologies.

Can the city council candidates pick up their signs now that the election is over or does Nick have to do your dirty work for you?

You go Nick, would be nice not to see all the clutter on the signs!
