Money from the quilt tickets sale will once again be donated in Blythe. This year's recipients are Harmony Kitchen, Blythe Emergency Food Pantry, and Sheltering Wings.

Bluegrass Quilters thank all the quilters for sharing their beautiful creations and all who came to see the show and voted. The Quilters especially thank the husbands and friends who came and helped set up the show, handed out and counted ballots, pinned ribbons, sold tickets, carried quilts, cleaned up after the show, and gave all their moral support. It takes a lot of people to get the job done.

They also give thanks to Steve Montgomery and the Blythe Area Chamber of Commerce for their unfailing support each year. Without them, there wouldn't be a quilt show.

Bluegrass Quilters look forward to their 15th Annual Quilt Show in 2014 and hope to see everyone there.

Bluegrass Festival participants were saddened by the passing of two festival founders and the original Colorado River Boys Bluegrass Band, Doc Cheatwood and Dave Mort. This year the festival was dedicated to them and to their original bass player, Wayne Barrett.
