BLYTHE - The Blythe Area Chamber of Commerce, the city of Blythe and State Farm Insurance presented the annual Christmas Parade on Dec. 1.

With over 50 entries traveling down Hobsonway, each entry displayed their interpretation of this year's theme, "Sights & Sounds of Christmas."

This year's winners from the parade are as follows:

Trophy Winners:

Sweepstakes (Most Outstanding Entry) - Chuy's Art & Graphic Designs

Theme (Best Use of Theme) - Chuckawalla Valley State Prison

Marshals (Best Originality of Design) - ERU III Primeros Pasos Center

Mayor's (Overall Appeal) - The Up River Kids

Category Ribbon Winner:

Commercial Category - 1st place, Empire Southwest; 2nd place, All Pro Pumping

Individual Category - 1st place, AVID Club of Blythe Middle School; 2nd place, Signs Unlimited

Law Enforcement - 1st place, US Border Patrol

Car Clubs - 1st place, Nostalgics Car Club; 2nd place, City Cruisers Car Club

3-Wheeler/Bicycle - 1st place, Life So Beautiful; 2nd place, City Cruisers Bicycle Club

Marching Units winners:

Youth - 1st place, Zumba Rec Center; 2nd place, Leo's Club

Float winners

Commercial - 1st place, Colorado River Fair/Fair Ambassadors; 2nd place, Kmart

Individual - 1st place, Cowboy Way

Church - 1st place, Zion Lutheran Church

School - 1st place, Palo Verde College Student Government; 2nd place ERU II Early Learning Center

What a fun Parade and a great job the Chamber and Crain Family do. So many great entrys. I do not know if it was the 75 degree evening, that had to be some of the most people out enjoying the Parade ever
