Santa's Workshop applications available
Special to the Times

BLYTHE - Santa's Workshop, formerly known as Breakfast with Santa, currently has applications available at location throughout town.

Co-hosted by Chuckawalla Valley and Ironwood state prisons and Inland Builder's Supply, Santa's Workshop is open to children ages of 1-10. Applications are available at the Palo Verde Valley Times office, Ace Hardware and K-Mart in Blythe.

This year Santa's Workshop will be held at Inland Builders Supply/ACE Hardware, at 1224 W. Hobsonway. Children will receive a personal letter from Santa, a personalized ornament, a small gift and the opportunity to create an item in the arts and crafts section.

The workshop will include four sessions, each limited to 70 children, scheduled for 7 a.m.; 8:30 a.m.; 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

Completed applications will be accepted only on Oct. 27 at the Inland Builders Supply, beginning at 9 a.m. until the 280 tickets for the Dec. 1 event are gone on a first-come, first-served basis.

Parking for the day of the workshop will be in the Sears parking lot, at 615 E. Hobsonway with Desert Roadrunner Transit providing transportation from the parking lot to Inland Builders Supply.

Chuckawalla Valley State Prison provides the gifts and their Education Department makes name tags for all children participating in the event. Additionally, Chuckawalla Valley and Ironwood state prisons provide staff volunteers to help make this event a success and fun for all.
