BLYTHE - Monique Nicole Navarro, 20, of Blythe was arrested and booked into Blythe jail for battery on a peace officer after being cited and released on suspicion of a hit and run on Nov. 10.

Blythe Police Officer Ronnie Jones responded to the non-injury hit and run report in the 200 block of S. Lovekin Blvd. at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Jones spoke to Oscar Cebreros, 23, of Blythe, who told Jones that he and his ex-girlfriend, Navarro, had an argument inside the store. They left the store and got into their vehicles and while backing out of their respective parking spaces, Navarro backed her vehicle into Cebreros' and left the scene.

Officers located Navarro in the vicinity of San Luis Way and Barnard. When approached, Navarro was said to be very uncooperative and refused to give a statement. At this time she was placed under arrest for delaying and obstructing a police investigation.

After being transported to the Blythe Police Department for further investigation, she again refused to talk to the officer. Navarro's property was returned to her and she was cited and released from the police station. She was then escorted to the rear gate of the parking lot and allowed to leave.

As Navarro was leaving, she threw her property down and began to walk away. Jones instructed her to pick up the items whereas Navarro ignored the request and continued to walk away. Jones approached Navarro to detain her for littering when she took a swing at him with her hand and struck him on the mouth.

Navarro was arrested again and later booked for battery on a peace officer and resist, delay and obstruct a peace officer from performing his duties; and hit and run.

She needs to hook up with Blas Perez (who was arrested for domestic violence the evening of Nov. 8) and who's in one of the other PVVT stories. The two of them would make such a pretty pair. Both get sauced up and have Saturday night slapfests together.

Jones is a nice guy. She was given a chance to walk. She was dumb even if she did graduate from PVHS. She was probably coached by J Monroe. She should apologize to him
